GEC Consulting (GEC) is an international business consulting company providing services to private and public organizations since 2010.[1] GEC Consulting is based in Georgia, with headquarter in Tbilisi[2] and operating offices in Bishkek and Almaty.[3] The company employs around 150 permanent and project-based staff globally and focuses on Eastern European, South Caucasus, and the Central Asian regional markets.[4]
History
GEC Consulting was founded in 2010. Company started with two local projects and 3 permanent employee and since then is growing and developing. In 2014 GEC became member of International Society for Performance Improvement.[4] In 2015, company became an IFS Authorized Channel Partner with a geographical scope covering Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.[5] In 2017 company started to plan market expansion and it became a trigger to delving into the depths of the brand, re-analyzing its values and uniqueness, that caused GEC’s rebranding in 2018. In 2018 GEC Consulting expanded its operations abroad and opened representation offices in Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek and Kazakhstan, Almaty.[6] In 2019 company purchased office in Tbilisi, Georgia.[7] In 2021 company became member of UN Global Compact Network. In 2021 GEC Consulting became UN Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Signatory.[8] By 2021, the number of local and international projects implemented by the company exceeded 150.[4]

At GEC Consulting, systemic approach is used to help companies achieve efficiency, that includes company analysis on three levels: organizational/strategic, business processes, and employee/executor.[7] Company offers 3 business lines: Transformation, Advisory and Research.
- Advisory - comprises Strategy Development; Business Planning and Access to Finance; Performance Assessment; Management Reporting; Corporate Training.[1][9][10]
- Transformation – comprises Performance Improvement/Restructuring; Management and KPI System Design & Implementation; Internal Control System Implementation; Business Processes and Operations Optimization and Automation; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Implementation; Change Management; Organizational Design and Structure.[1][9][10]
- Research – comprises Industry/Sector/Market/Value Chain Research, Feasibility Study. Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA).[1][9][10]
GEC Consulting owns business analytical portal BAP.GE enabling companies to conduct industry and market research and online consultants and services booking platform GEC Online.[11]

Systemic business consulting at GEC Consulting is equated with puzzle assembly. The assembled puzzle is associated with a well-functioning business system: when the puzzle components are separated, they do not give a single picture, and the only way to see the whole picture is to assemble the puzzle, which means finding the interconnection between all its components. The anatomy of the main character is used to demonstrate the work and client approach at GEC Consulting. To create a clear association with growth and development, the bones and organs in the character structure are replaced with plants. In the background, the sun is the main symbol of energy, and a lush flower symbolizes customer care.[6]
Sustainability at GEC
Having embedded a systemic approach in their core, company follows the principles of True Business Sustainability (Sustainability 3.0) to anticipate sustainability challenges instead of merely reacting to them. All of the company policies are developed in compliance with human and labor rights and follow UNGC 10 Principles. GEC is a member of UN Global Compact Network and signatory of Women Empowerment Principles.[13][8]
Career
The company creates equal career opportunities for all, regardless of gender, religion, nationality, age, and other demographic characteristics. Company developed a full-time, fully paid professional development program Young Business Consultants Program (YBCP), where selected candidates undergo long-term professional development courses with the prospect of further employment within the company.[14][15]

GEC Consulting owns office in Tbilisi Georgia and has two operational offices in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and Almaty, Kazakhstan.[3][10]
