  • Heinrich V. und ein Begleiter stehen mit erhobenen Zeigefingern am Fenster eines rechteckigen Turmes, in dem Heinrich IV. gefangen liegt. Der abgesetzte graubärtige und halb kahlköpfige Kaiser schaut aus dem Fenster heraus auf seinen Besuch.

  • Emperor Henry V visits his father in prison.
  • Unknown artist, workshop of Diebold Lauber, ca. 1450. Full-page, unframed, pen and ink drawing, with watercolor and opaque color.
  • Henry V, wearing a crown and pointing with the index finger of his right hand, stands with a companion beside an oblong tower in which Henry IV is confined behind a barred window. The gray-bearded, nearly bald, deposed emperor looks up and through the window at his visitors.
