ნუბია — რეგიონი აფრიკაში, ნილოსის სანაპიროზე, თანამედროვე ეგვიპტისა და სუდანის ტერიტორიაზე. მოიცავს მიწებს ნილოსის პირველი ჭორომიდან (ასუანი, ეგვიპტე) მეექვსე ჭორომამდე (ქარიმა, სუდანი). რეგიონის თანამედროვე სახელწოდება, სავარაუდოდ, უნდა მომდინარეობდეს ძველი ეგვიპტური სიტყვიდან – „nb.w“ (ასევე nab ̆w; nub – კოპტ. ოქრო).

პოსტ-კლასიკურ ეპოქაში რეგიონში არსებობდა რამდენიმე ნუბიური სამეფო (მაკურიის სამეფო, ნობატია, ალვას სამეფო), რომელთაგანაც ბოლო 1504 წელს დაეცა. ამის შემდეგ ნუბია ეგვიპტემ და სენარის სასულთნომ გაიყვეს, რამაც ნუბიელების არაბიზაცია გამოიწვია. ნუბია ხელახლა XIX საუკუნეში, ოსმალური ეგვიპტის შემადგენლობაში გაერთიანდა და შემდგომ 1899 –1956 წლებში ანგლო-ეგვიპტური სუდანის ფარგლებში.
