სანაპირო — ხმელეთის ზოლი მდინარის, ტბის, ზღვის ან ოკეანის გასწვრივ ან/და სასაზღვრო ხაზი ხმელეთსა და ზღვას, ოკეანეს, ტბას, მდინარესა და სხვა წყლის ობიექტებს შორის, რომლისთვისაც დამახასიათებელია მათი უშუალო საპასუხო გავლენა. განლაგებულია სანაპირო ხაზის ორთავე მხარეს.[1][2]
ხმელეთისა და წყლის ობიექტის საპასუხო გავლენა გამოიხატება რელიეფსა და კლიმატში. ზღვისა და ოკეანეების სანაპიროს კლიმატური პირობები, როგორც წესი, ხელსაყრელია ადამიანის ჯანმრთელობისათვის, ამიტომაც ბევრი სანაპირო წარმოადგენს პოპულარულ კურორტს. ცნობილი საკურორტო სანაპიროები განლაგებულია ადრიატიკის ზღვაზე, კავკასიურ რივიერაზე, კოსტა-ბლანკაში, ლაჟარდოვან ნაპირზე, ბალტიისპირეთში, ყირიმის სამხრეთ ნაპირზე და სხვაგან.
