კვირპოსის ტურიზმი

ტურიზმს კვიპროსის ეკონომიკაში დომინანტი როლი უკავია.[1] 2006 წელს, ამ სექტორიდან მიღებულმა შემოსავლებმა მთლიანი შიდა პროდუქტის 10,7% შეადგინა. მასში დასაქმებული იყო 113 000 ადამიანი.

კვიპროსში, მსოფლიოში მე-40 ყველაზე პოპულარულ ტურისტულ ქვეყანაში ყოველწლიურად 2 მილიონი ადამიანი ჩადის.[2]

1975 წელს, მსოფლიო ტურიზმის ორგანიზაციის შექმნისთანავე კვიპროსი მისი სრულუფლებიანი წევრი გახდა.[3]

2011 წლის მსოფლიო ეკონომიკური ფორუმის მონაცემებით, მოგზაურობისა და ტურიზმის კონკურენტუნარიანობის ინდექსით კვირპროსს 24-ე ადგილი უკავია. ტურისტული ინფრასტრუქტურის თვალსაზრისით, კვიპროსს მსოფლიოში 1-ლი ადდგილი უკავია.[4]
